Abbott's Cottage is located in the foothills of McGillycuddy's reeks, the highest peaks in Ireland, on the ring of Kerry. It is in the locality of Caherdaniel, the birth place of Daniel O'Connell.
The cottage is about half a mile from the beautiful, secluded 'Rian' beach and provides a very scenic 20 min walk. It is about three miles from Derryname beaches, which are some of the most beautiful sandy dune beaches in Europe. These beaches have blue flag status, and have many amenities, including ample parking space.A walk of about a mile will take you to the 'Kerry Way', a famous track in the mountains which links some local. The views from the Kerry Way are spectacular or a clear day.

Description
From Kenmare, head to Sneem on the N70.
From Sneem, head to Waterville on the N70
Pass through a small village Castlecove on the N70,
About a mile further, pass through the crossroad signed for 'COAD'
Continue on the N70 for about half a mile more, and at the sign for 'Cara Turner Ceramics' take a RIGHT turn.
Continue up the lane a hundred yards past a 2 storey cottage, Abbott's is the next house on the RIGHT. Â
